Weather at Zrce Festival Beach — Temperatures, Sunshine Hours & Climate Data
Mediterranean Climate at Zrce Festival Beach
The Zrce Festival Beach is located on the southwest coast of the island of Pag in Croatia and benefits from a typical Mediterranean climate: hot, dry summers and mild winters. For party vacationers, this means one thing — perfect weather from May to September.
The island of Pag is one of the sunniest regions in Croatia. With an average of over 2,500 sunshine hours per year, Zrce is on par with destinations like Dubrovnik or Split.
Temperature Overview: May to September
Here are the average daytime and nighttime temperatures as well as water temperatures for the main season:

Rain? Almost None
From June to August, there is virtually no rain at Zrce Festival Beach. Statistically, it rains on average only 3 days in July — and even then, usually only briefly and heavily before the sun returns. May and September may bring occasional showers, but even then, rainy days are rare.
Conclusion: You definitely do not need to pack an umbrella for your Zrce vacation in the peak summer.
The Bora: Croatia's Famous Wind
A phenomenon you should know about is the Bora — a cold, gusty fall wind that occasionally blows down from the mountains. At Zrce Beach, the Bora is rare in summer, but when it blows, it can get temporarily cooler. The clubs on the beach are positioned to provide natural wind protection.
In early summer (May/June), the Bora can occasionally blow stronger. In high summer, however, it is hardly a topic.
What Should You Pack?
Based on the climate data, we recommend the following packing list for the weather:
- Sun Protection: Sunscreen with high SPF (at least 30), sunglasses, and headwear — the Mediterranean sun is intense.
- Light Clothing: During the day, shorts, t-shirts, and swimwear are sufficient. For the evening, a light long-sleeve shirt is recommended.
- Sturdy Footwear for Evenings: The paths to the beach can be rocky — flip-flops alone are not always enough.
- Thin Jacket for May/September: In the pre- and post-season, it can cool down to 15 °C in the evenings.
