What is the Bora and does it affect your vacation?
The Bora is a strong, cold north wind that blows from the mountains to the coast and can occasionally hit the island of Pag.
What does this mean for your vacation?
- The Bora usually occurs in short episodes of 1–2 days
- The sea can become somewhat rougher
- In summer, the Bora is significantly rarer and weaker than in winter
- It passes quickly and often results in particularly clear water afterwards
No reason to worry – the Bora is part of the Mediterranean climate and is rarely a problem during the vacation season.
