Ferry to Pag
Helpful background, tips and explanations in detail.
The ferry connection Prizna–Žigljen is one of the most popular routes to get from the Croatian mainland to the island of Pag. The crossing takes only about 15 minutes and connects the small port of Prizna (near Senj on the coastal road) with the ferry port of Žigljen in the north of the island of Pag.
The ferry operates very frequently during the summer season – sometimes every 30 minutes – and can be used without a reservation. For cars and motorhomes, it is a convenient alternative to the Pag Bridge, which connects the island further south with the mainland. On peak days (Friday and Saturday in the high season), there may be waiting times, so plan a little buffer.
From Žigljen, you can continue across the island to Novalja – the journey takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Along the way, you can enjoy the impressive, almost lunar landscape of the island of Pag before arriving in Novalja and at Zrce Beach.
