Stara Novalja is a small, quiet place north of the party beach Zrce and directly borders the tourist center of Novalja. Unlike the lively Zrce Beach or the bustling Novalja, it is much more relaxed here. The wide sandy beach of Stara Novalja is especially popular with families with children who spend a relaxing summer holiday here.

The place is located in a sheltered bay that cannot be seen from the open coast. This special location makes Stara Novalja an ideal spot for water sports such as diving, snorkeling, and sailing. The marina of the place is also a popular stop for boat owners.

A detour to Stara Novalja is definitely worth it. The restaurant Konoba Porat at the end of the main street, right by the marina, is particularly recommended.
