Split
Many trips to the party beach Zrce begin with a flight from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland to Split. From there, it takes about 2.5 hours by car to Novalja and Zrce Beach. Even though the journey is a bit longer, the detour via Split is definitely worth it.
If you want to do more than just party at Zrce Beach and also see some of the country, you will find numerous highlights in Split and its surroundings. On the way from Split to Novalja, for example, is the impressive Krka National Park with its famous waterfalls – perfect for a stopover.
A longer stay in Split itself is also recommended. The city, with around 200,000 inhabitants, is the second largest in Croatia and the most important port city in the country. The entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is characterized by Roman columns, squares, and historical buildings. Along the waterfront promenade Riva, restaurants and bars line up – an ideal place to enjoy the sea at sunset.
In addition to its cultural heritage, Split also offers beautiful sandy and pebble beaches as well as excursion opportunities to the nearby islands of Brac, Hvar, and Vis. The ferry port is located right next to the old town, and the crossing to the islands takes between one and three hours, depending on the destination.
So if you are looking for more than just nightlife and beach, a flight to Split with a rental car or as part of a round trip through Croatia is a great alternative. The Zrce.de team is happy to assist you with tips and individual travel planning.
